Hotel discounts are subject to availability. Car rental rates may vary depending on length of rental and day of
the week. Car rental is a very competitive market and although the Association tries to maintain stable
discounts, companies reserve the right to make changes.
VIII. ALUMNI ASSOCIATION RECREATIONAL SPORTS MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS
The University’s Recreational Sports department has made special benefits and privileges available to dues-
paying members of the Alumni Associations. You must be a member in good standing and have your
membership card with you whenever you wish to access these services.
1. The fee for Alumni Association members is $204 annually. Membership entitles the member to use the Siegel
Center, Cary Street Recreational Complex, Thalhimer Tennis Courts, Franklin street swimming pool and the
MCV gym and pool. Recreational Sports Alumni Memberships are limited and provided annually on a first-
come, first-served basis. You must have earned a degree from VCU or MCV to qualify. For specific
information on the Recreational Sports Alumni Membership call the Siegel Center at 827-1100 or the MCV
gym at 828-6700.
2. Members are eligible to rent equipment from the Outing Rental Center for hiking, camping, canoeing and
other outdoor activities. For specific information on rentals and trips, call the Outing Rental Center at 828-
6004.
3. Members are eligible to participate in Outdoor Adventure Program trips including caving, hiking, skiing,
rafting and kayaking, as well as tours.
4. Member can also choose to purchase a tennis membership for $60 which covers Nov. - mid March when
the bubble is up. With this, you must pay court fees of $16 per 1 and 1/2 hrs. and guests must pay a guest
fee of $5.00 each.
IX. REDUCED PRICE ADMISSION TO ALL VCU HOME ATHLETIC EVENTS
Members and their families are eligible to receive a discount on tickets to all VCU home basketball games.
1. Men's Basketball - $10 (regular price $12) to all men's home basketball games.
2. Women's Basketball - $3 (regular price $5) to all women's home basketball games.
3. Soccer and Baseball - $3 (regular price $5) to all home soccer and baseball games.
