How Your Dues Are Used

Your dues for membership in the VCU Alumni Association and the MCV Alumni Association are the cornerstone for your alumni associations' funding for vital services and programs in support of students, alumni, faculty and staff.

While the university supports the alumni association by providing staff salaries and some program funding, the majority of the association's funding comes from alumni membership dues. A variety of alumni activities and programs are made possible through your dues support, including Shafer Court Connections and Scarab alumni magazines, Reunion Weekend, Alumni Month, chapter and other affiliated organization initiatives and programs, student scholars events, Welcome Week activities, as well as athletics-related programming. 

In addition, $5 of your membership support is forwarded directly to your school to encourage and aid alumni programming at the school level.
