Online Journals Access
Through the VCU Libraries, current students enjoy online access to an amazing range of publications, journals and reports. Now as a membership benefit alumni can get that same kind of access courtesy of the VCU Alumni Association's online journals access provided by EBSCOhost. Alumni can access Academic Search and Business Search databases. Plus, for a limited time, alumni can access Business Book Summaries.
For access to the online journals database, alumni must be dues-paying members of the alumni association and must register to use the alumni association Web site. Once logged in, you will see a link to the database on this page.

Business Book Summaries
Business Book Summaries extracts the key concepts of the best business books, enabling executives and managers to quickly and easily keep abreast of the latest in business intelligence and trends. Following a rigorous selection process, expertly written summaries are created for the top business books published each year in the U.S. The BBS library currently offers coverage of more than 700 leading business books from the past 20 years, with new summaries added weekly.
The latest and most relevant business thought is found in business books. Readers often find it difficult, however, to identify the key concepts in those books, let alone devote the time needed to read them. BBS’s concise summaries present the author’s key concepts to busy professionals whose desire to learn is abundant, but whose available time is scarce. Using BBS summaries, readers discover the key concepts sooner and retain the information longer. Corporate learning professionals use BBS summaries to augment leadership development programs, close competency gaps and improve the overall business acumen of their managers, directors and executives.
