Virginia Commonwealth University's African American Alumni Council cordially invites you to join us as we affirm our connections to one another and to our university at Reunion Weekend 2009. Events throughout the weekend, on and off campus, will give you a chance to catch up with what is happening with all of your friends as well as what is going on at VCU. Please visit the AAAC’s Web site for the latest Reunion updates. 

This year, we are celebrating the 35^th anniversaries of the Theta Rho chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and the Eta Xi chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.

Hotel guests can pick up registration materials and tickets at check-in. Other Reunion attendees can pick up registration materials and tickets at the VCU Alumni House, 924 W. Franklin St., noon–4 p.m. Friday, April 24, and 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 25.

Lodging

Alumni have access to a block of rooms at a special rate of $95 per night at the Marriott Richmond West, 4240 Dominion Blvd. For reservations, call (804) 965-9500 and ask for the VCU Alumni Group. Hotel reservations must be made by April 10, 2009.

2009 Reunion Weekend Alumni Entrepreneur Opportunities

The AAAC will provide vendor opportunities for alumni entrepreneurs at two reunion events. Space will be limited and will be sold on a first come/first serve basis. 

Reunion Events
Friday - Alumni Bowling Event at Shrader Lanes
Saturday - Park Outing at Crump Park
Throughout Weekend - Hotel Entrepreneur Table

* Pricing Per Event
$25 - active dues paying VCU Alumni Association Members
$35 - non members

* 5% of profits if items are sold at reunion sites.

Details
1) Vendors cannot sell any type of VCU or AAAC paraphernalia or items containing their organizational logos. The AAAC also reserves the right to deny any vendor the opportunity market their business or sell items during Reunion Weekend.

2) The Alumni Bowling opportunity will consist of an area specifically designated for alumni vendors. The venue will provide tables.

3) Vendors interested in Crump Park will need to bring their own table. Also marketing and selling is restricted to the area designated for VCU alumni.

4) We are also working on making arrangements for an Alumni Entrepreneur table to be set up in the host lobby throughout the weekend where alumni can display brochures, business cards and other information about their businesses.
