RPI Commemorative Sculpture
"Tableith," created by sculptor Charles Ponticello (M.F.A. '94/A), has been erected in front of Ginter House, 901 W. Franklin St. Ponticello's design was selected by members of the RPI Alumni Planning Committee to commemorate the history and heritage of VCU. The brownstone tower consists of 51 brownstone-colored discs rising 14 feet. Each disc represents a year in the history of RPI and features an inscription along the edge with a key event from that year.
To date, RPI Alumni have raised more than $30,000 in individual donations to support the project. In the final phase, cobblestones saved from repaving of the alley adjacent to the Anderson Gallery will be used to create a terrace. Donations are needed to complete this very important project.
